Local Delivery Driver

Welders Supply & Gases | Louisville, KY
Welders Supply & Gases is looking for a dependable Local Delivery Driver to help get welding supplies, dry ice, equipment, and occasional gas cylinders to our customers during the hours of 7:30AM - 4:30PM. This is an active, customer-facing role with deliveries that can change throughout the day. You’ll work closely with our Sales and Delivery Operations teams to make sure orders arrive safely, accurately, and on time.

What you’ll do

• Make local deliveries of welding supplies, equipment, dry ice, and occasional compressed gas cylinders.
• Check orders for accuracy, then safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
• Keep dispatch informed about delivery progress, delays, and customer needs.
• Provide helpful, professional service at each stop and obtain delivery signatures when needed.
• Keep your delivery vehicle clean and organized and report maintenance concerns.
• Help stage orders and organize inventory between deliveries.

What we’re looking for

• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• A reliable, punctual driver who can manage changing priorities throughout the day.
• Safe driving habits and attention to detail when handling and delivering materials.
• Clear communication and a customer-focused approach.
• Delivery, warehouse, or customer service experience is preferred. Experience with industrial supplies or gas cylinders is helpful, but we can train the right person.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Physical requirements
This is a hands-on role that involves loading and unloading throughout the day, regularly lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing 50 pounds or more, and working in warehouses and at customer locations, indoors and outdoors.
