MRI Technologist - PRN

The MRI technologist provides MRI images as directed by the physicians, nurses, or other clinicians; maintains radiology equipment and supplies; and assists physicians and clinical staff as needed. This is a PRN position.MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTSPatient ServicesGreet patients and thoroughly explains the examinationProvide a detailed response to any question that the patient may have related to their examination.Prepare patients for MRI procedure by positioning them in such a way that causes the least discomfort; instruct patient about how to position their body appropriatelyObtain high quality, diagnostic images of the anatomy requested by the physician using appropriate safety precautionsCapture and transmit images according to designated MRI protocolPossess knowledge to operate all MRI scanners within the practiceMark the encounter form to reflect the MRI exam performedPatient Preparation and Equipment MaintenanceReceive outside exams as they are delivered to the practice and import them into the PACS systemTakes inventory of radiology stock and communicate supply shortages to the managerEnsure radiology equipment is in good working order.
