- Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Leverage well-researched techniques to bolster patients' physical capabilities, cognitive functioning, and day-to-day living skills.

- Educate Patients and Their Families: Equip patients and their caregivers with the knowledge and skills to continue progress beyond the clinic.
- Document Progressions: Keep detailed records of patient development and adjust treatment approaches when necessary to maintain effective progress.
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university or college.
- Opportunities for ongoing education or additional certifications encouraged and supported.
Certifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license is required.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory.
Key Attributes

- Compassionate and clear communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
- Inventiveness and flexibility in addressing various patient needs and adapting treatment plans accordingly.
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to shine both independently and as part of a cohesive, interdisciplinary team.
Perks and Benefits
- A supportive, collaborative atmosphere with ample opportunities for professional growth.
- A full-time schedule featuring flexible shifts to better suit your lifestyle.
- Access to clinical mentorship and career development resources.
- Utilization of state-of-the-art tools, facilities, and documentation systems.
- Engagement in quality improvement and innovation initiatives.
Your Responsibilities
In this fulfilling role, you'll go beyond merely treating symptoms—you'll aid in restoring cherished routines, rebuilding self-esteem, and instilling joy in everyday activities. From guiding stroke survivors through fine motor recovery to assisting orthopedic patients in regaining their mobility post-operation, you'll leverage your comprehensive skills to deliver patient-centered care that fosters independence and resilience.
We believe that each patient is unique and deserving of a tailored approach; thus, we reject any notion of shortcuts or one-size-fits-all. Our environment encourages storytelling, with every therapy session serving as a vital chapter in each patient's recovery journey. Collaborating closely with therapists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, you'll formulate rehabilitation plans that resonate with the distinct narratives of the individuals behind them.
Discover the Joy of Our Team and the Charisma of Durham
Here in Durham, we have cultivated something exceptional. Our rehabilitation team thrives on mutual support, knowledge sharing, and collectively celebrating our achievements—both big and small. Join Us in Making a Difference
We are seeking someone who perceives occupational therapy as a noble vocation rather than just a job. We want an individual who finds joy when a patient regains their grip, takes steps independently, or recounts a story they thought was lost.
Whether you're an accomplished OTR/L or a recent graduate eager to make waves in the field, if you bring compassion, determination, and a willingness to grow, you will find a gratifying home here. If you dream of combining premium care with a vibrant lifestyle — this is the place for you.
Your Invitation to Contribute
Consider this your invitation to join a mission greater than just a job title. Your contributions will help shape lives, catalyze recoveries, and restore hope where it was once lost. You'll embark on this journey in a community that treasures both progress and peace.
If you are ready to flourish, give back, and immerse yourself in a caring community, we are excited to welcome you into our family.
