Position Summary: The Sanitation position is a member of the manufacturing department.

Responsibilities:

• Wipe down all touch points to include door handles, stair rails, door-ways, walls control levers and knobs, countertops and surfaces, stainless steel covers and floors. (COVID-19 Preventative Measures)
• Pick up all contaminants and garbage from floors.
• Sanitize restrooms.
• Check & fill hand sanitizer dispensers, hair nets, beard nets and ear protectors.
• Empty trash cans and insert new liners.
• Wash trash cans.
• Remove all refuse from production area.

Role in Food Safety: Follow plant GMPs at all times and ensure work area is secure and safe to perform required task.

Job Requirements:

• Fill out checklists and duty list daily and weekly.
• Clean and sanitize all restrooms and lunchrooms.
• Vacuum and dust main offices.
• All other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Work safely.

Position that backs up this role during absence: This position will be filled with any other sanitation or laborer trained to clean during an absence.

A. Physical Requirements:

This position requires the following physical demands up to 90% of the time.

• Ability to turn head to look right/left as well as up and down.

• Ability to twist body at waist.

• Ability to bend/squat/kneel.

• Ability to grasp bottles.

• Ability to reach with both arms.

• Ability to stand for 8 hours during a shift minus breaks and lunch.

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

B. Non-Physical Requirements:

1. Education:

• A high school diploma or GED required/previous work experience.

1. Experience:

• Previous sanitation experience preferred.

1. Special Skills :

• Ability to read/write in English.
• Good communication skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
• Personally invested in the success of the business.
• Motivated, focused and accountable for results

1. Internal Relationships: The sanitation person will interact and communicate effectively with all employees in the plant.
