" We build people " who build amazing things.About The RoleThe Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring all welding and fabrication activities comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and company quality requirements. This position oversees inspection, testing, documentation, and verification of welding activities to maintain the highest level of product integrity and customer satisfaction.What You'll Be Responsible ForPerform visual and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated assembliesVerify base materials, welding consumables, and compliance with WPS requirementsMonitor welding operations to ensure adherence to AWS, ASME, and project specificationsCoordinate and support NDT activities (UT, MT, PT, RT)Maintain inspection reports, quality records, NCRs, and project turnover documentationWitness welder qualification testing and maintain welder continuity recordsCollaborate with fabrication teams, project managers, and customer inspectors to resolve quality concernsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety cultureWhat You NeedAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required3–5+ years of welding inspection experience in fabrication, structural steel, or piping environmentsStrong working knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and B31.1/B31.3 codeAbility to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, WPS, and PQR documentationFamiliarity with NDT methods preferredProficient with Microsoft Office and quality documentation processesStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsCombination of fabrication shop, construction site, and field workAbility to work outdoors in varying conditions and access elevated or confined spacesMust be able to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periodsTravel up to 25% as needed for project supportReporting Structure & Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirect Reports: NoneWhat We OfferCompetitive compensationPTO and paid holiday packageComprehensive benefitsA safety-first culture with clear expectations and accountabilityOpportunities for professional growth and leadership developmentThe authority and support to run work effectively and solve problems in real timeJoin a team with a strong pipeline of projects, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and opportunities for long-term career growth.
