In this role, you’ll guide project delivery, mentor and support technical teams, and partner closely with clients to advance resilient, regulatory‑driven infrastructure solutions. This is an opportunity to influence technical direction, elevate delivery standards, and help shape sustainable water systems that protect public health and support long‑term community growth—while playing a key role in strengthening client relationships and expanding CHA’s impact across the region.What You'll Do:Lead the planning, design and delivery of complex water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.Manage all aspects of project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, and client relationships, while thoroughly understanding project risks and financial measuresServe as a “seller/doer,” developing strategic client relations and cultivating new opportunitiesPrepare proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documentsOversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring adherence to QA/AC procedures, contract requirements and company standardsPlay a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management, ensuring all client needs are metProvide office and practice leadership by mentoring engineers and project managers, supporting staff development, and fostering a collaborative, high‑performing team environmentWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience in water, wastewater and stormwater; minimum of 8 years of project management experience requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredExpert knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, conveyance infrastructure, and regulatory compliance with a proven ability to apply best practicesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering lawsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and Deltek Vision preferredProven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project accounting processesExperience preparing proposals and project documentation as well as interpreting client contractsParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredAbility to travel as neededWhy You'll Love It Here:Expand your leadership impact as you guide project teams, influence technical direction, and deliver water and wastewater solutions that protect public health and strengthen communitiesPlay a meaningful role in shaping client relationships and advancing sustainable, resilient water infrastructure across the regionEnjoy a flexible work environment that supports collaboration, balance, and opportunities for local and occasional travelCurious about the impactful work our Water team is doing?
