Salary: $53-55,000/year

This position serves Leon, Wakulla, Gadsden and Jefferson Counties and requires some travel.

Scope of Position: Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to the ADW Career Navigator team while also delivering case management and career counseling services to customers. Support and assist in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement, while ensuring team performance, quality, and compliance with program requirements.

Essential Functions:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact and team lead for ADW Career Navigators, providing day-to-day guidance, support, and oversight
2. Mentor and train new and existing Career Navigators on best practices, program requirements, and case management standards
3. Monitor team caseloads, performance metrics, and contract compliance; escalate concerns as appropriate
4. Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one check-ins to ensure alignment with program goals and customer service standards
5. Collaborate with management to identify process improvements, training needs, and strategies for increasing overall team effectiveness
6. Provide individualized assessment of work, family, and personal development needs and opportunities
7. Determine program eligibility and accurately complete required documentation for enrollment
8. Build professional one-on-one working relationships with customers to assist in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment
9. Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed
10. Encourage customers to participate in and follow through with planned activities as outlined in the contract
11. Oversee customer activities and assist with workshop schedules
12. Create solutions to customer attendance problems
13. Maintain organized database of customers and keep detailed documentation of all contacts
14. Maintain customer files as specified by CSCR
15. Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies
16. Provide consistent and comprehensive case management follow-up and retention services, ensuring that post-placement contacts are made as required by specific contract and accommodating customer schedules
17. Document all participant contacts and activities in case progress notes
18. Assist in the preparation of project reports as needed
19. Ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract
20. Work with the team on implementing processes that increase customer engagement
21. Operate at the Career Center or in the community as needed
22. Other opportunities as available

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Career Navigator or in a related workforce development role
• Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts
• Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Human Resources, or related area preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Valid driver's license
• Florida Workforce Professional Certification Tier I required (must be completed within 30 days of employment)
