Senior Database Reliability Engineer
Role Type: Full-time
Location: Remote
We are looking for an experienced Database Reliability Engineer to architect, optimize, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL environments. You'll ensure reliability, performance, and scalability across large-scale, cloud-based database systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and manage highly available PostgreSQL architectures using AWS RDS and Aurora.
- Optimize queries, indexes, partitioning, and database performance.
- Manage backup, replication, recovery, and failover processes.
- Troubleshoot slow queries, locks, deadlocks, and database bottlenecks.
- Automate database maintenance and reliability workflows.
- Support data migrations, application scaling, and operational improvements.
- Maintain clear technical documentation.

- Replication & Failover
- 5+ years of production PostgreSQL experience.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and replication.
- Experience managing large-scale, high-traffic databases.
- Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, and cloud-native environments.
- Experience with data platforms, ETL, analytics workloads, and monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
