Interventional Radiology Technologist
Unit Information
Location: Englewood, CO
Number of Beds: 5 Interventional Radiology suites
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- On-call Requirements: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
Patient Ratios: 2 IR Technologists to 1 IR Registered Nurse
Equipment:
- 4 Siemens Bi-plane systems
- 1 Siemens Single plane system
EMR Systems: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 6 months of current acute care hospital experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in neuro interventional procedures (e.g., strokes, aneurysms, SAH)
- Expert knowledge of vascular interventional radiology procedures with minimal guidance
Typical Procedures Performed
- Neuro procedures as part of a Comprehensive Stroke Center (including strokes, aneurysms, SAH)
- Level 1 Trauma Center procedures (including gastrointestinal bleeding, embolizations, gastrostomy tubes, nephrostomy, etc.)
Work Environment
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced interventional lab. Teamwork is essential for success within this environment.
