Job Title: MEP Specialist / Journeyman

Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Lead Electrical Superintendent to join our team, with strong experience in electrical systems, particularly in Data Centers. The ideal candidate will possess robust computer skills and have experience working with Switchgears and UPS systems. This role involves traveling between various project locations, including Dallas, Atlanta GA, Northern VA, Mississippi, and Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly understand and manage the project schedule and overall scope.

• Assist in maintaining the project schedule daily through Touch plan.

• Collaborate with the Project Scheduler and Project Manager to develop progress schedules, such as two-week look-ahead schedules.

• Prepare and distribute daily logs using Procore.

• Coordinate and schedule necessary inspections.

• Prepare agendas for regular construction meetings.

• Enforce site safety, security, and visitor access protocols.

• Ensure quality and workmanship of finished products.

• Develop and maintain a Site Utilization plan.

• Maintain a phone log.

• Prepare pre-punch list items.

• Collaborate with the Project Site Engineer to upload all pertinent project information on Procore.

• Provide site safety training and enforce safety compliance on the project site.

• Conduct weekly tool talks.

• Secure any required hot work permits for the project.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Data Centers.

• Ability to lead teams effectively.

• Proficient in electrical construction and project management.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Experience in commercial construction.

• Familiarity with Procore software.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Experience in subcontractor management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Electrical experience preferred.

• Experience as a site supervisor or in a management role.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Ability to read and interpret schedules.

• Strong communication skills.

• Data center experience is beneficial.

• Willingness to travel is helpful.

• Strong safety attitude.

• 7-10 years of experience.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence in Northern VA, Dallas TX, Atlanta GA, Chicago, and Mississippi, with travel between these locations as needed. The role offers a year-long contract with potential for extension, including travel expenses and accommodation. Benefits include a 401k plan, 2 weeks of PTO, dental/vision/medical insurance, a $60 cell phone reimbursement, and 10 paid holidays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRFAX, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
