Shipping/Receiving Operator-1st Shift - Entry-US
Location: LaVergne, TN, US, 37086 On-site or Remote: Onsite
Shipping/Receiving Associate Purpose: Acts as an experienced operator within a warehouse: Receives, tracks materials, resolves issues as related to tasks, trains entry level operators, inventories stock, pulls, picks, and ships orders.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Execute final packaging and distribution of products to appropriate destinations.
- Receive material from external operations in SAP.
- Follow instructions on delivery notes for shipments to distribution centers and customers.
- Independently packs orders for shipment.
- Receives daily products from stock transfers and outside vendors.
- Re-orders supplies such as boxes, bags, labels, and packing tubes.
- Works with planners to resolve shipping or receiving issues.
- Performs tasks with little to sometimes moderate supervision.
- Maintains / completes certifications.
- Performs transactions / resolves transaction discrepancies in the SAP / ERP system required to process material movements.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring workplace organization programs (5S, EHS) are adhered to for the assigned area.
Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Does not require vocational training nor a university degree
- Works with clearly defined / sometimes ambiguous methods and tasks that are described in detail.
- Contributes directly to specific unskilled tasks or processes.
- Has some discretion to vary from established procedures with supervision input.
- Contributes indirectly to specific unskilled tasks or processes.
- Previous forklift operating experience.
- Self-driven initiative and adaptability to solving problems autonomously.
