DescriptionJob Title: Staff Accountant Job Location: San Jose, CA (This position requires a full-time, on-site presence in our San Jose, CA office)Job ID: AI2562 Description: We are seeking a Staff Accountant who combines strong accounting fundamentals with curiosity about technology and a proactive approach to improving how work gets done. You will support daily accounting and the monthly close while helping us use AI, automation, and data analysis to improve efficiency and accuracy. As the company grows and matures, this role will evolve. Responsibilities:Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly and annual close.Support payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer billing, employee expense reviews, intercompany accounting and inventory reconciliations.Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve controls, document processes, and support system enhancements.Use Excel, approved AI tools, and automation to streamline data preparation, reconciliations, and recurring reportingAnalyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly. Assist with financial reporting, audits, and additional projects as business needs evolve.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.4+ years of relevant accounting experience and a working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting systems and data from multiple sources.Familiarity with AI and automation tools, with an interest in applying them thoughtfully to accounting workflows.Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills.A willingness to learn, adapt to changing priorities, ask questions, and contribute wherever needed.Personal attributes: Can-do attitude. No task too big or too small” mindset The annual salary for this position ranges from $105,000 - $130,000. The actual annual salary offered will depend on several factors, including - among others - job-related skills, experience, technical expertise, qualifications, work location, and business needs. The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for private company equity, and a comprehensive package of employee benefits.
