Dietitian
Plans, evaluates, and implements regular, special, and modified diets to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, treatment plans, and accreditation standards. Completes nutrition assessments of clients by reviewing medical charts, interviewing direct care staff, and engaging with patients regarding their likes, dislikes, allergies, and any chewing or digestion problems. Maintains dietary and nutrition records, reports, and progress notes. Plans and conducts in-service training programs pertaining to nutrition for clients and staff. Attends various meetings including treatment team meetings and internal facility committees. Ability to interpret extensive technical material in books, journals, and manuals. Counsels clients regarding nutrition and gathers, collates, and classifies information about data, people, or things. Prepares meaningful, concise, and accurate reports. Annual renewal of license to practice as a dietitian is required for continued employment. May be exposed to unpredictable resident actions. This position may require a flexible schedule, with hours completed on the first shift. Walking may be required due to the large campus.
