JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA, is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Certified Toddler Teacher to join our team. This posting is for a full-time 12- month, salaried Certified Toddler Teacher. The starting pay for this position is a salary range of $47,944 -$58,136.00 pro rata (based on rate range of $23.05 to $27.95*** for highly qualified, certified, degreed candidates ).

The salary offered will ultimately be determined by relevant qualifications, experience, and JCC's internal equity.

Requirements

• Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks
• Maintain full responsibility for the smooth running of the classroom environment
• In partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers, co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture.
• Work in partnership with JCC leadership and other departments to support JCC Greater Boston organizational goals and model JCC values
• Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children
• Design and implement curriculum
• Complete observation and document assessments regarding children’s progress
• Adhere to all EEC regulations as well as NAEYC guidelines

Qualifications

• EEC Professional Teacher level or higher Certification (Strong Start is not considered equivalent and does not meet this requirement). For consideration applicants must include a copy of EEC Teacher Certification or proof of pending certification along with demonstrated eligibility.
• A love of children and a strong desire to make a difference every day
• Strong organizational skills, including teamwork, relationship-building skills, the ability to multitask, the ability to manage situations effectively and diplomatically
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability and commitment to build strong relationships with families, co-workers, ELC leadership, and JCCGB colleagues
• Commitment to create and foster a dynamic environment where play and learning are a top priority
• Computer literate

• JCC Greater Boston is a nonprofit organization with roots in earlier Settlement Houses and Young Men’s Hebrew Associations; JCC Greater Boston today offers a wide range of services and program activities throughout the Greater Boston region (~50,000 individuals annually in 98 communities).
