Position Overview

• Specialty: Med/Surg RN
• Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12s)
• Unit: 7 North – Spine
• Location: HCA HealthONE Swedish, Englewood, CO
• EMR: Meditech

Unit Details

• Beds: 18–20
• Patient Ratio: 6:1 (with LPN support)

Day Shift Staffing

• 1 Charge RN
• 2–3 RNs
• 1 LPN
• 1–3 Patient Care Techs

Night Shift Staffing

• 1 Charge RN
• 3 RNs
• 1 LPN
• 1–2 Patient Care Techs

Required Qualifications

• ✅ Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg hospital experience
• ✅ BLS

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• Burn care experience
• Wound care experience
• Ostomy care experience

Common Patient Population & Procedures

• Post-operative spine patients
• Burn and flap reconstruction patients
• Wound and dressing changes
• Complex wound management
• Ostomy care

Equipment Used

• Hoyer lifts
• AirTAP transfer devices
• Wound VACs
• PCA pumps

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Med/Surg background
• Experience with post-surgical patients
• Comfortable managing complex wounds
• Positive attitude
• Team-oriented and collaborative
