Assistant Technical Engineer

As TOSSWARE’s Assistant Technical Engineer, you will support the Engineering Director and Operations team by helping collect production data, document processes, and support technical improvement projects. This role helps connect day-to-day production with engineering projects by ensuring equipment settings, process updates, and improvement efforts are accurately tracked and communicated. While this position will be primarily focused on process improvement projects and technical documentation, you will also receive cross-training on production equipment in order to support technical operations as needed. You will gain exposure to equipment maintenance and assist with documentation or implementation of minor equipment or tooling updates. Essential Functions Process & Documentation Support Assist in creating and updating SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation Document equipment settings, approved process ranges, and process changes Maintain organized technical records and version control Support rollout of updated procedures to Production teams Data Collection & Improvement Projects Collect and organize technical data Maintain logs of machine settings or material usage Support Engineering with data gathering for troubleshooting or improvement projects Assist in documenting process trials or deviations Maintenance & Equipment Support Assist with tracking preventive maintenance activities Support troubleshooting by collecting observations or data Help maintain records of parts usage or recurring equipment issues Component & Tooling Support Assist with documentation of equipment components, fixtures, or tooling Support basic measurement or fitment checks for replacement parts Help document minor equipment modifications or improvements Technical Cross-Training Participate in cross-training on production equipment Provide floor support during trials, validations, or process changes Support Production Technicians with setup or operational tasks as needed Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail Interest in manufacturing equipment or technical systems Comfortable working with spreadsheets or data tracking tools Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operationAbility to read basic technical drawings is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr TOSSWARE
