What we need:

TheEnterpriseStrategic Serviceteam exists todefine and facilitate the strategic planning process; develop, articulate, and adapt the company's strategic plan;and support critical strategic initiatives in their formation of recommendations and implementation plans, working closely with leaders and subject matter experts from across the business.We support this work with competitive intelligence and market trendinsights, andtrack ourprogress to inform and facilitate ongoing prioritization of efforts across the organization.

TheConsultantwillsupportdevelopment of our strategy and strategic initiativesby performingmarket analyses, business caseformation, facilitation support,spanning the work of Strategy,InnovationBusiness Planning and Competitive Intelligence that are part of the overallEnterpriseStrategic Servicesteam.The Consultant willembrace newideas and ways of working as we advance the BCBSMA strategy and innovation agenda

This position is eligible for the flex persona. The successful candidate will be required to work from the Boston office 2 days per week. This may change based on business need.

Your Day to Day:

Work with Strategy& Innovationteam members in scoping, planning and execution of strategy efforts. This may include problem development, valuation and business case development, work planning, market research, scenario development and recommendation summaries.

Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on market trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform strategic recommendations and identify new opportunities.Engage with stakeholders and leaders across the business to understand challenges, forge relationships, andshape /pitchprioritized ideas to secure approval and funding.Drive the advancement ofstrategy &innovation initiatives from gathering consumer insights and generating ideas to prototyping and piloting new solutions.

Competitive Intelligence: In support ofthe strategyand competitive intelligence functions, conduct qualitative secondary research, collecting information from a variety of sources and synthesizing key findings.Leveragestudies from team and business to ensure recommendations are informed.

We're Looking for:

• Consulting & Problem Solving:Strong consulting skills with a proven ability to analyze complex business problems, develop strategic and innovative solutions, and guide partners throughambiguity.
• AI Fluency:Demonstrated AI fluency, with an understanding of and experience in experimenting with emerging AI technologies, particularly agentic AI, to solve business challengesandperform at "top of license" with AI efficiencies.
• Data Analytics & Research:Exceptional research and data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and compelling narratives. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and research platforms is required.
• Market & User Insights:Proven expertise in conducting and synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative research to generate actionable insights on consumer behavior and key market trends.
• Communication:Excellent qualitative, quantitative, written, and oral communication skills with a proven ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
• Project Management:Strong organizational, project, and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage a portfolio of multiple projects. Experience with Agile methodology is a plus.
• Collaboration:Excels at building strong, trusted partnerships with diverse stakeholders in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, consulting, or technology with an undergraduate degree; OR 3+ years of relevant experience with an MBA, MPH, or other advanced degree.
• Experience in the health insurance industry is strongly preferred.
• Technical skills:Google Gemini suite of AI tools(and/or other similarAI tools),advanced documentation andpresentation developmentskills(e.g., PowerPoint),projectmanagement tools (e.g,Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
