Maintenance Mechanic

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Pay Range: $28.00

Shift: 1st shift - 5:00am to 3:30pm 2nd shift - 4:00pm to 2:30am

What's the Job?

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul machines and hydraulic equipment using blueprints, drawings, or sketches.
• Perform layout work and utilize various tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain and repair CNC machines, presses, conveyors, and related equipment across the plant.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Assist in installing new equipment, rebuilding, and refurbishing existing machinery as needed.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a preference for Journeyman certification.
• Minimum of five years of experience in machine maintenance and electrical repair, especially with heavy machinery and presses.
• Knowledge of CNC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems.
• Experience with MIG and Arc welding, cutting torches, and reading hydraulic and lube schematics.
• Ability to operate maintenance machinery such as Bridgeport, surface grinder, lathe, and drill press, along with precision measuring tools.
