Job Description

Seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a Night Shift position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients requiring continuous monitoring and intervention.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the PCU/Stepdown unit.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with families.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

Qualifications

Minimum of 12 months of permanent Stepdown/PCU experience.
Active Ohio nursing license or an active compact state license required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Experience with Community Hospital charting systems is a plus.

Skills and Certifications

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience with patient ratio management and care coordination.
ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration proficiency required.
