Job Posting: Logistics Supervisor

Reports To: Dispatch Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

The Logistics Supervisor oversees daily dispatch operations, supervises dispatch staff, ensures accurate transportation records, and coordinates logistics activities to support efficient operations and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise dispatch staff, coordinate workflow, and provide coaching and guidance.
• Monitor the accuracy of entries and maintain records in the TMW TruckMate system.
• Manage dispatch requests, coordinate transportation needs, and maintain communication with drivers, management, carriers, and customers.
• Provide support for daily dispatch operations and cover staffing gaps as needed.
• Identify and correct errors, analyze operational data, and ensure compliance with applicable DOT regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional relevant coursework preferred.
• Two to four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS); TruckMate, PC*Miler, Fleetmatics, or RoadNet preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse workforce, resolve conflicts, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle weight limits, and load specifications.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, sit or stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and access all areas of a warehouse or distribution center.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
