Cath Lab Tech in Brandon, SD

Step into a dynamic, fully equipped Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, collaborating with Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, and a General Surgeon to deliver advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. This contract role offers a blend of clinical challenge and professional growth within a comprehensive service environment.


Schedule and Shifts:

• 8-hour day shifts
• Rotating call covering evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist and rotate between scrubbing and circulating on an array of procedures, including Left and Right Heart Cath, PTCA, stenting, thrombectomy, atherectomy, carotid interventions, pacemaker insertions, tilt table tests, kyphoplasty, and AV graft interventions.
• Operate cutting-edge imaging technology, including Siemens Artis Zee C-arms and McKesson systems (CPACS, Cardiology, Hemodynamic).
• Utilize advanced Cath Lab equipment, such as Philips Laser System, IVUS, OCT, and specialized atherectomy devices.
• Support the Cath Lab team through patient transport, direct support in pre- and post-procedure areas, and assistance with inventory management.
• Maintain accurate procedure documentation and actively participate in quality initiatives.
• Ensure a safe, patient-focused environment, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist
• Previous experience in a Cath Lab setting strongly preferred
• Proficiency with complex imaging platforms and devices, such as Philips Laser System and Siemens Artis Zee C-arm
• Strong knowledge of various cardiac and peripheral interventional procedures
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to participate in an equitable call rotation, including holidays and weekends
• Exceptional attention to detail, professional communication, and critical thinking skills
