Travel Physical Therapist – Floyds Knobs, Indiana Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment starting ASAP in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document interventions in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention. Maintain a safe treatment environment adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Qualifications Required: Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred: Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience as a Physical Therapist (new graduates are welcome). Other certifications or licenses relevant to the position. Essential Skills & Abilities Critical thinking, service excellence, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English. Ability to understand written instructions and follow verbal instructions. Basic PC skills. Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements Physical: Remain standing or walking; move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend. Technical/Motor: Fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with procedures, use department equipment. Mental: Handle frequent public contact and deadlines under pressure. Work under close supervision occasionally; work independently as required. Manage irregular schedules and maintain concentration on details.
