If you are looking for the opportunity to support your friends, family, and your community through your work at MaineGeneral Health...Come be with us.## **Job Description:****The Role:** *Maternity & Pediatrics Registered Nurse (RN) - 30 hrs/week, 7p-7a***The Opportunity:**MaineGeneral Health is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team Maternal/Child Health team at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta.Maternity & Pediatrics is a department with a dynamic nursing team that covers the areas of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum (mother/baby), Pediatrics, and the Level II Nursery.This position is 30 hours per week on nights and requires weekend, holiday, and on call rotation. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts one week, and two 12-hour shifts the next.**The Work:*** Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.* Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.* Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.* Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
