Sr. Data Scientist, Pharmaceutical Supply Chain

Salary: $136,300 - 227,100 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business, data science, computer science, statistics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically, at least 7 years of relevant experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, strategy, or a related discipline; 5+ years in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to use analytics to deliver measurable business value and strategic outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering principles and API development for commercializing analytical products and solutions.
• Advanced communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on Python experience, including tools such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, and NumPy, and advanced SQL skills with large, complex datasets.
• Strong understanding of machine learning methods, including clustering, regression, anomaly detection, forecasting, classification, deep learning, and time-series analysis.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, modern analytics environments, and AI or generative AI solutions in business settings.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.
• A self-directed, continuous-improvement mindset, passion for applying data to complex problems, and strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, distribution, pharmaceutical, or supply chain settings; experimental design, causal inference, and business impact measurement; modern AI frameworks, LLMs, or agentic AI; and building scalable data products or deploying machine learning models into production.
• Preferred: A track record of influencing business decisions through analytics and strategic insights.

• Partner with leaders across Commercial Strategy & Innovation (CSI) to create data-driven solutions that support growth, improve customer outcomes, and bring innovative products to market.
• Work across the solution lifecycle, from ideation and proof of concept through production deployment and business adoption.
• Collaborate with data governance, product, and technology teams to use governed data, semantic layers, and AI/LLM technologies to make trusted insights more accessible.
• Design heuristics, optimization models, and advanced analytics solutions across customer, product, and operational areas.
• Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify opportunities, formulate hypotheses, pilot solutions, and scale successful models across the enterprise.
• Apply data science and analytical methods to identify market trends, process improvements, strategic synergies, and actionable recommendations.
• Support digital data acquisition and integration strategies and build scalable pipelines that complement enterprise data assets.
• Use CSIs data infrastructure to develop analytical models that create customer value, expand margins, and improve operational efficiency.
• Run pilots, A/B tests, and other experiments to measure causal impact and strengthen decision-making.
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable workstreams and work across functions to implement solutions and encourage adoption.
• Develop and deploy scalable Python APIs and data products that integrate with enterprise applications and business systems.
• Build and scale AI agents that let business users explore data in natural language, uncover insights, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions more quickly.
• Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
