Public Cloud Solutions Architect

Salary: $143,640 - 273,000 per year Requirements:

• We require 8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise technology solutions, including 4+ years concentrated in public cloud architecture.
• We need deep, hands-on solution architecture expertise on at least one major hyperscaler: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, plus working knowledge of a second; multi-cloud experience is highly preferred.
• We expect a proven record leading cloud migration and modernization initiatives, including discovery and assessment, the 7 Rs, landing zone design, well-architected planning, and enterprise-scale workload migration.
• We need strong knowledge of core cloud areas, including compute, storage, networking, hybrid connectivity, DNS, load balancing, identity and access management, and cloud security and governance.
• We require solid understanding of cloud-native and modernization approaches such as containers, Kubernetes, microservices, serverless, and application refactoring.
• We want hands-on experience designing and delivering AI and agentic AI solutions in cloud environments, including data and platform foundations, AI/ML services across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and the impact of generative and agentic workloads on architecture, security, and cost.
• We value experience using AI to improve delivery itself through AI-enabled methods, automation, and agentic tools that accelerate assessment, migration, modernization, and quality assurance.
• We require practical experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, and Ansible, along with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• We expect a practical grasp of security by design, cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and well-architected or cloud adoption frameworks.
• We need strong consulting skills, including facilitating client workshops, developing business cases and TCO/ROI models, presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders up to C-level, and guiding delivery teams as the lead architect.
• We require at least one current associate- or professional-level cloud certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.

• We engage early in the client journey to shape cloud strategy, migration planning, and modernization roadmaps, then stay involved through implementation to ensure secure, timely, and budget-conscious delivery.
• We lead discovery and assessment workshops and help clients evaluate options and define the right cloud direction.
• We build business cases and total cost of ownership analyses, then convert business and technical needs into well-architected solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
• We design and oversee landing zones, networking, identity, data, and application patterns that support resilient cloud adoption.
• We guide implementation teams and help ensure the final solution is delivered cleanly and in line with architectural intent.
• We shape architecture for AI and agentic AI use cases, from foundational data and platform design through to the workloads themselves.
• We mentor other architects and consultants, sharing expertise to elevate team capability.
• We create reference architectures, reusable accelerators, and delivery standards that improve consistency, speed, and governance.
• We help advance our cloud and modernization offerings through automation, AI-enabled delivery approaches, and new accelerator capabilities.
• We recognize when specialist subject-matter experts are needed and bring them in appropriately across major public cloud platforms.
