Java Developer

Contractor Responsibilitiesa. Applications Development Analyst Task List. The Contractor’s Representative shall perform the following tasks, as necessary, to complete work assigned by the Department’s Contract Manager:Develop new JAVA applications.Enhance existing JAVA applications.Work with the OIT to gather business requirements.Provide maintenance and support for the JAVA applications.Provide project leadership.Develop and enhance project and technical documentation.Mentor OIT staff in JAVA development skills.Ensure that the OIT’s Service Delivery Framework, Standards and Procedures are followed.Provide system analysis, design, and programming support.Provide implementation support for applications.Transfer to OIT staff the knowledge necessary to maintain applications worked on, including any related technical knowledge.Qualification Requirements for Contractor RepresentativeMandatory QualificationsAbility to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with technical and customer staff.Experience developing database driven applications in a JAVA environment using Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE).Experience working with Apache Tomcat application server software.Experience working with users to gather and document business requirements.Experience working with DB2.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Microsoft SQL Server.Experience working with Crystal Reports.Experience developing applications for the Division of Unclaimed Property systems.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.A minimum of 4 years of programming/systems analysis experience. Samprasoft
