Position Summary: The Tax Associate will assist with the preparation of individual, business, and nonprofit tax returns, while also supporting client accounting needs as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and excited about working in a collaborative small-firm environment where your contributions truly matter. Key Responsibilities: Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and nonprofits Assist with tax planning and projections for clients throughout the year Conduct research on tax issues and provide documentation and summaries for team and client use Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify tax-related questions Maintain organized client files in compliance with firm policies Stay up to date on relevant tax law changes and industry standards Support bookkeeping or accounting projects on an as-needed basis Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required) CPA or CPA candidate preferred 0–2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation (internship experience considered) Working knowledge of federal and state tax regulations Proficiency with tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Commitment to professionalism and client confidentiality What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental and vision insurance SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with company match Flexible work hours and a healthy work-life balance Opportunity for professional development and CPA support A supportive, close-knit team environment The chance to make a real impact in our firm and in the Laramie community #J-18808-Ljbffr
