About the Position
Position Overview
A North Dakota hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians for a low-volume, independent coverage locum opportunity with flexible scheduling and strong support resources onsite.
This role offers a unique combination of manageable patient volume and full-scope emergency care , ideal for physicians who enjoy autonomy and broad clinical exposure.
- $240/hour
- 12-hour shifts (days or nights)
- Average ~4 shifts per month
- Low volume (~12,000 annual visits)
- Single physician coverage
Ideal for physicians comfortable practicing independently in a rural or critical access setting.
Assignment Highlights
- Single physician coverage (no APP support)
- 12-hour shifts (6a–6p or 6p–6a)
- Primarily night shift coverage needed
- Low volume: ~12,000 annual visits
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Epic EMR (must be proficient)
- Sleep room available for providers
- HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission–certified agency and active member of NALTO
- Lodging and mileage covered (no flights)
