Senior System Engineer

Responsibilities:

Drive innovation and collaboration across software developers, cloud, security, automation, and operations teams using a DevSecOps methodology
Lead initiatives to mature software development and continuous delivery for highly visible applications
Provide technical leadership for digital services initiatives and ensure accountability for outcomes
Respond to RFIs and draft technical approach responses aligned to roadmap and strategy
Monitor and manage communications during high-impact and critical incidents
Participate in Agile sprints to evolve business processes and technologies

Requirements:

10+ years of experience in technology roles, including AWS, networking, security, databases, and DevSecOps
Hands-on experience with AWS services, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools
Strong experience with incident management, monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis
Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and security tools
Coding proficiency in at least one programming language
Ability to support a 24/7 environment and lead critical incident resolution
Strong communication skills and executive-level presence

Certs:

AWS Solutions Architect - Professional certification
AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification

Preferred:

Active Public Trust
Bachelor's Degree
