Location: Plainview, NY (Nassau County, Long Island) Compensation: $375,000 – $475,000 + Full Benefits Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible Hours | No Call

Must-Have Qualifications (Required)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (with clear path to certification)
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York
  • Proven ability to perform and interpret endoscopic procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, EGD)
  • Strong expertise in diagnosing and managing GI disorders (IBD, IBS, liver disease, biliary conditions, motility disorders)
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Patient-centered, team-oriented approach to care
About the Opportunity

A well-established, physician-led multi-specialty group in Nassau County, Long Island is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join its growing team. This practice is known for its strong reputation in clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and collaborative care.

This is an outpatient-focused role offering a flexible schedule, no call responsibilities, and the opportunity to work within a supportive environment that values both clinical autonomy and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive gastroenterology care to a diverse patient population
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, including history, physical exams, and diagnostic interpretation (labs, imaging, pathology)
  • Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of GI conditions, including IBD, IBS, liver disease, and biliary disorders
  • Perform and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures, including colonoscopies and EGDs
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating medical therapy and lifestyle interventions
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including colorectal surgeons, oncologists, and primary care providers
  • Promote preventive care, including colorectal cancer screening and chronic disease management
  • Participate in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives
