Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic

Equipment Mechanic/WelderWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Mechanic/Welder to perform maintenance and repair work on various equipment, trucks, and tractors. This position also includes welding tasks related to yard repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and the ability to read schematics while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM Service) on trucks, tractors, and yard equipmentInspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issuesPerform welding and fabrication as needed for yard repairsRebuild machinery and equipment using pneumatic toolsRead and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for diagnostics and repairClean and maintain the mechanic shop and equipmentWash and prepare equipment for useAssist in loading and unloading equipment from trucksAdapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentFollow all company safety guidelines and proceduresRequirements:Proven experience as a mechanic in an industrial or heavy equipment environmentFamiliarity with diesel engines and backhoe equipmentStrong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systemsAbility to read and understand schematics (electrical and hydraulic)Comfortable using pneumatic and other mechanic toolsFlexible and able to work with changing tasks and prioritiesMust be able to pass a background check and drug testReliable transportation and consistent work historyPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsFull mobility of hands for tool use and repair workComfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsAble to work in loud and dusty environmentsMust be able to climb up to 40 feet, stoop, bend, and kneel for inspections and repairs
