Job DescriptionJob Overview – Gastroenterologist\nCompensation: $550,000–$750,000/year + benefits \nLocation: Hudson County, NJ\nSchedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)\n\nTAG MedStaffing is hiring a Gastroenterologist in Hudson County, NJ for our client, supporting inpatient, outpatient, and endoscopic gastroenterology services across a healthcare network. This role will diagnose and manage gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions, perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, and provide hospital-based consultation coverage.\n\nResponsibilities as the Gastroenterologist:\n\n Gastroenterology Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal and related digestive health conditions.\n Endoscopic Procedures: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures in accordance with established clinical standards.\n Patient Management: Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing consultation and follow-up care across appropriate clinical settings.\n Clinical Coverage: Provide gastroenterology coverage and respond to urgent patient care needs as required.\n Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and clinical teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.\n Quality & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold established quality, safety, and professional standards.\n\n\nQualifications for the Gastroenterologist:\n\n Education: MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship is required.\n Licensure: Active or eligible New Jersey medical licensure is required.\n Certification: Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology is required.\n Experience: Clinical experience providing comprehensive gastroenterology care and performing endoscopic procedures is required.\n Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal conditions, diagnostic evaluation, treatment, and endoscopic care is required.\n Technical Skills: Proficiency with endoscopic procedures and electronic health record systems is required.\n Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, communication, collaboration, and patient care skills are required.\n\n\nApplication Notice: Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
