Radiology Technologist (11358)

InGenesis is currently sourcing for Radiology Technologist candidates to work for our potential client. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imagine procedures. Responsibilities and Duties: * Takes radiologic images of head, trunk, and extremities for routine physical examinations and for diagnosis of illness or injuries. * Sets up X-ray rooms, deviates from the standard positioning and adapts a position to meet the needs of the patient. * Evaluates x-ray to ensure that films are artifact free, correctly developed and are the best films that can be taken. Calls significant findings to the attention of the physician or ordering health care provider. * Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * Graduate from a certificate or associate degree Radiologic Technologist program accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). * One-year experience as a certified (license if required) Radiologic Technologist. * Experience in a detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting (preferred, not required). * Current National Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART). * State licensure if required by the state in which the duty station is located. * Must have and maintain one of the following certifications: Basic Life Support for health care providers through the American Heart Association®, CPR for the professional rescuer through the American Red Cross or the American Safety and Health Institute. Physical Demands: * The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; walking or jogging unaided over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy patients or equipment. * The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities, such as agility and dexterity, visual, and hearing capabilities. * Must be able to respond to any medical emergency in the facility, via foot, within four minutes and perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling. * Must have the ability to assist sick, injured, or aging detainees or staff exiting the building during an emergency.
