We are looking for a motivated candidate with attention to detail, a passion to continue to develop as a professional, and a desire to be part of a strong team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a geology or other science-based degree to enter the civil engineering industry. This position is also a good fit for anyone interested in construction who enjoys hands-on work. Responsibilities Field observation and testing during placement of construction materials including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and sprayed-on fireproofing Reporting of test results and site observations Soil and concrete laboratory testing Required Skills/Experience High School degree Valid Driver’s License Possess good oral, written, communication, and organizational skills Able to perform rudimentary mathematic computations Candidates must be able to lift 50 - 75 pounds on an occasional basis and be physically able to negotiate construction sites, climb ladders and work outside Construction experience is preferred but not required Other Requirements Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history and motor vehicle record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening Compensation/Equal Opportunity The compensation range for this role is between $16/hr to $22/hr.
