Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a day shift contract position requiring at least 1 year of experience and left-handed scanning ability.

Details

• Echo/Cardiac Sonography unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend required for coverage
• No on-call requirement
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer experience required
• Left-handed scanning ability is required for this position
• Active professional licensure required if applicable
• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler must work two and may request one holiday off
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the posted shift is firm
• Candidates undergo a clinical screening process to assess fit prior to manager review
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time
