Addiction CounselorThis position requires an Addiction Counselor to work onsite in Bronx, NY, providing full-time support to patients with substance use disorders. The role involves individual counseling, group facilitation, and collaboration with treatment teams. The schedule includes a mix of fixed and flexible hours.Experience managing a patient caseload with substance use disorders. Ability to conduct assessments, screenings, and crisis interventions. Proficiency in maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation. Strong collaboration skills with internal and external teams. Experience in trauma-informed care approaches. Ability to develop treatment plans with clinical supervisors. Experience in facilitating therapeutic groups.Relevant certification or licensure in addiction counseling. Experience in clinical consultation and patient engagement. Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery processes. Experience in making referrals to appropriate treatment programs. Strong communication skills for patient and family support. Experience in psychoeducation and patient orientation. Ability to assist patients with scheduling and accessing care.
