Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies. We are looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst to help Fivetran make clear, confident decisions about marketing performance. You will connect campaign and channel activity to funnel outcomes and business results, explain what is changing and why, and recommend where teams should focus next. Your work will support decisions across demand generation, digital, field and partner marketing, product-led growth, and the broader go-to-market organization. You will partner with marketing leaders, Finance, Marketing Operations, GTM Strategy, and Analytics to answer high-impact questions, improve how performance is measured, and make reliable insights easier to access. This role is a fit for an analyst who can move from an ambiguous question to a rigorous analysis and a clear recommendation, while building durable metrics, models, and reporting along the way.

This is a full-time, flexible hybrid position based in Oakland, CA. Our hybrid work model offers remote flexibility and in-person collaboration; there is no fixed number of required office days, and we encourage teams to meet in person regularly.

What You'll Do:

• Define and own our core marketing metrics. Establish clear definitions and reporting across areas such as demand generation, funnel conversion, pipeline, campaign performance, channel efficiency, and marketing's contribution to revenue.
• Build scalable analytical products. Create canonical datasets, models, and self-service tools and dashboards that help Marketing teams and leaders answer important questions quickly and consistently.
• Serve as a trusted thought partner. Translate analyses into clear narratives and recommendations for audiences ranging from marketing operators to senior executives. Partner with Engineering and Marketing Operations to improve the quality and usability of data from CRM, marketing automation, web analytics, and attribution systems.
• Set a high bar for responsible Marketing Analytics. Establish strong practices for data quality, integrity, governance, privacy, appropriate access, and responsible use of customer and prospect data.
• Turn marketing data into decisions. Analyze complex and disparate datasets to identify trends, surface opportunities, and recommend actions to improve campaign performance, funnel conversion, and marketing investment.
• Shape our analytics culture. Mentor analysts and partners, establish analytical best practices, and help Marketing teams build stronger data fluency and decision-making habits.

Skills We're Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or a related analytical role
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling, with experience working across large, complex datasets
• Experience using Looker, Omni, Tableau, Sigma, or similar business intelligence and visualization tools
• Strong analytical judgment and a track record of translating ambiguous business questions into structured analyses and actionable recommendations
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for data quality, analytical rigor, and reproducibility
• Excellent communication and data storytelling skills; you can make complex findings intuitive and help decision-makers understand not just what is happening, but why it matters and what to do next
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, developing hypotheses, and owning analytical problems end-to-end
• Strong cross-functional instincts and the ability to build trusted relationships with both technical and non-technical partners
• A builder mindset: you look beyond answering one-off questions and create frameworks, datasets, and tools that make future decisions faster and better
• Passion for using data to improve marketing effectiveness and inform go-to-market decisions.
• Experience using analytics to support key business decisions, preferably at a high-growth, SaaS, or B2B product company

Bonus Skills:

• Experience in Marketing Analytics, demand generation analytics, growth analytics, marketing operations, or another marketing-related analytical function.
• Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, attribution, web analytics, or product analytics systems such as Salesforce, Marketo, GA4, or Bizible.
