Nurse AnesthetistThe Nurse Anesthetist administers anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures for all age groups – neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients following medically approved techniques under the professional direction of an anesthesiologist or surgeon. Has full access to patient health information.Located at Iredell Mooresville, 653 Bluefield Road, Mooresville, North CarolinaRequirements:Current Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist by the AANA Council on Certification or eligible for certificationCurrent Registered Nurse Licensure inCurrent Verification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the Board of NursingMember of the AANA (optional)Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS and NALS certificationCurrent Credentials / Reappointment per IHS BylawsSuccessful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientationMust possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds; may occasionally lift up to 100lbs with assistance or assistive devices.
