Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

As Production Supervisor on the 1st shift within the CoCExciter manufacturing unit, you will own operational performance andleadership of the manufacturing of Exciters/Collectors and the in-process testing of large generator components. Toensure consistent output and team performance, the role is structured aroundthree core areas: direct team leadership and supervision, management ofproduction operations and execution, and oversight of safety, quality, andcontinuous improvement initiatives. These focus areas collectively ensure thatthe 1st shift meets its production, safety, and quality objectives. Given theemphasis on independent shift management and process oversight, this rolerequires significant experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstratedleadership capabilities, and a strong background in production planning andLean manufacturing principles. A proven record of upholding safety and qualitystandards is essential for success in this role.

How You'll Make an Impact

- Lead and develop the production team by providing directsupervision, coaching performance, addressing employee concerns, and fosteringa culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

- Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety,quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved whilemaintaining uninterrupted workflow and operational excellence.

- Plan employee schedules, allocate labor resourceseffectively, and coordinate seamless shift transitions to maximize productivityand workforce efficiency.

- Serve as the primary operational leader during the shift,making timely, independent decisions to resolve personnel, production, process,and equipment-related challenges.

- Champion compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety(EHS) requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company qualitystandards to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

- Partner with maintenance and cross-functional supportteams to troubleshoot issues, minimize downtime, and drive sustainableperformance improvements through Lean manufacturing principles, root causeanalysis, and data-driven decision-making

What You Bring

- Associates degree or higher preferred; equivalentcombinations of education, training, and relevant professional experience willalso be considered.

- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or productionenvironment, including demonstrated success in a direct supervisory or teamleadership role.

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solvingskills, with the ability to drive accountability, manage workflow, influenceteams, and effectively resolve operational challenges.

- Solid knowledge of manufacturing operations, includingproduction planning, Lean manufacturing principles, Good ManufacturingPractices (GMP), SAP applications, and mechanical systems.

- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies suchas Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or 5S, with the ability to leverage rootcause analysis and data-driven decision-making to improve performance.

- Proven commitment to safety and quality, includingexperience with quality control processes, Environmental, Health & Safety(EHS) requirements, and adherence to established manufacturing standards;candidates may be considered for different levels based on experience.
