About the Position

Job Title: OR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: 2-3 Years in the specialty is required, with 2-3 previous travel assignments. License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred) Must-Have: - Ortho experience is required. - Experience passing instruments in and out for robotics is mandatory. - Must have experience with all specialties for evening/night shifts. - Must be comfortable with circulating cases as needed. - Scrubbing experience for RNs is a plus. - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor experience is preferred. Description: The position requires working in the Operating Room environment. The unit consists of 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room. The average number of cases per day is between 35 and 45. Common surgical cases include general, ENT, eyes, ortho, robotics, neuro spine, and vascular cases. Emergent cases include appendectomies and traumas. Experience in handling all specialties is essential. Floating to outpatient surgery may be required. The schedule includes a weekday on-call rotation and weekend on-call requirements. All surgical staff is expected to adhere to the dress code and scrub color regulations. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate unit needs. Call response time is required within 30 minutes. Techs are responsible for room turnover, as there are no aids or housekeeping staff in the OR. Travelers and experienced staff may be entertained for support or refresher training in specialized areas. The charting system utilized is EPIC. Only the required certifications will be accepted for this position.
