$22-$30/hr

Position Summary


The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and support of digital and analog office equipment, printers, copiers, and network-connected devices. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to effectively manage a service territory while ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing equipment performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair customer equipment both on-site and in the shop, including electronic, mechanical, software, and print quality issues.
• Diagnose network connectivity problems and provide appropriate solutions, support, and customer consultation.
• Maintain company service response standards and ensure timely resolution of service requests.
• Manage an assigned service territory efficiently to meet customer needs and maximize productivity.
• Install and configure equipment as required.
• Identify and train key operators during digital and analog machine installations.
• Communicate key operator information to dispatch and service management.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional and courteous service.
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Complete accurate and detailed work orders for every service call.
• Submit completed work orders promptly following each service visit.
• Record and report total and print meter readings on all connected equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
• Ensure service tools and support materials are properly maintained and available.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of parts, supplies, and consumables in the service vehicle.
• Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and in good operating condition.

Qualifications

• Technical Degree in Electronics/Computers/Basic Networking Preferred
• A+ Certification Desired
• Experience servicing copiers, printers, multifunction devices, or related office technology preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and software-related issues preferred.
• Valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move equipment and parts up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces as required.
• Ability to drive extensively within an assigned service territory.
