System Tester

Overview A System Tester provides hands-on assistance to the assigned supervisor. Such assistance includes any and all duties required in the performance of the test function, including but not limited to test preparation, conduct and recording of results. Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance to the supervisor in performing test functions, including test preparation, execution and recording of results. Qualifications Familiarity with shipyard testing processes, such as air, hydro and non-destructive test methods. Ability to operate and demonstrate ship testing equipment and processes, including setting up test equipment with hand tools, conducting and monitoring test functions, reading gauges, detecting problems and initiating corrective actions, interpreting test results, and performing required repairs.
