Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team. This role is focused on Gynecologic Oncology, offering a unique opportunity for RNs with experience in oncology, surgical, or related specialties.

Schedule

This position will work daytime hours, five days a week, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekends or holiday shifts are required.

Key Responsibilities

Triage patients for medication reactions, potential surgical complications, and symptoms of recurrence through phone and EPIC messaging.
Provide pre and post-operative education and assessment for patients.
Ensure patients navigate their treatment courses safely and effectively.
Manage a patient load of 30-40 daily, with individualized nurse visits typically ranging from 3-6 patients per day.

Qualifications

Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in relevant specialties, including SICU, OR, PACU, Post-Op, Gynecologic Oncology, Triage, OBGYN, or Oncology.
Prior gynecology, oncology, and surgical experience is preferred.
Experience with voiding trials and central line flushes (e.g., port flushes) is advantageous.
BLS certification is required.

Additional Information

This role can be fulfilled as a true travel position or as a temporary to permanent opportunity.
No chemotherapy administration or infusion responsibilities are required in this role.
