Kelley Automotive Car Wash Position

Assist in overseeing the daily operations within the car wash department.

Responsibilities include:

• Building a solid understanding of wash specific software.
• Responding to customer inquiries through account research.
• Interpreting various kiosk messages and errors.
• Training employees in workarounds when kiosks and/or gates fail.
• Contacting software vendors to resolve problems.
• Renewing customer wash tags.
• Submitting online Luxe upgrades and cancellation requests.
• Utilizing data from Teams reports to solve customer tag/account issues.
• Identifying defective and poorly placed tags.
• Coordinating replacement appointments for customers.
• Contacting customers to ensure their replacement tags are working.
• Handling customer damage claims.
• Rectifying situations immediately if possible.
• Documenting details and forwarding them to the manager or appropriate department.
• Monitoring wash quality daily.
• Communicating any site outages and maintenance needs with manager and staff.
• Utilizing skills and knowledge to be a positive attitude leader for staff and customers.
• Assisting in attracting and retaining car wash staff.
• Reviewing applications.
• Contacting applicants.
• Motivating employees toward efficiency and positive service.
• Being part of progressive disciplinary meetings to foster employee growth.
• Assisting in managing employee schedules to ensure all shifts are covered.
• Training employees regarding job responsibilities and customer service.
• Assigning items on Daily Checklist.
• Working with staff at kiosks to coach through tough situations.
• Monitoring employee uniform compliance.
• Being responsible for the upkeep and appearance of property in and around the facility.
• Monitoring inventory of wash-related and janitorial supplies.
• Being able to effectively operate and manage any of our wash sites.
• Performing any other tasks deemed necessary by Management.

Requirements include:

High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Able to read and comprehend instructions and information. Computer knowledge is required. Professional personal appearance. At least one (1) year of managerial experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.

Working Conditions include:

This is a position that will expose the employee to outdoor elements in all seasons. They will also work in an office setting, at a desk as necessary. They will prepare and manage paperwork. Employee will stand, stoop, kneel, lift, push, pull, crouch and reach repeatedly during the shift. Employee will have personal interactions with customers. Employee will be exposed to heat, cold, noise, dust, fumes, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
