Position: Manager, Trade Marketing and Events – Cannabis / Vape Hardware & Technology Industry Department: Marketing FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt HQ Location: Scottsdale Remote Work: Hybrid / Remote (with frequent travel) Report to: Director of Marketing Salary/Pay: $85,000 – $115,000 Direct Reports: No Job Description We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and high-energy Manager of Trade Marketing and Events to lead our B2B commercial marketing initiatives and industry presence. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between brand marketing and sales. You will design and execute field programs, trade marketing strategies, and experiential events that drive brand loyalty, secure wholesale accounts, and position our cutting-edge vape hardware as the industry standard for cannabis brands and processors. Responsibilities/daily tasks: Trade Marketing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive retail and B2B trade marketing plans that drive hardware sell-in and sell-through. Event & Trade Show Management: Lead end-to-end planning, production, and execution for major industry trade shows (e.g., MJBizCon, Champ’s, Hall of Flowers), corporate events, and regional activations. Collateral & Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the creative team to build high-impact sales tools, product catalogs, hardware sample kits, and technical educational materials. Retail & Dispensary Activation: Design and manage budtender education programs, pop-up activations, and compliant in-store merchandising displays for brand partners utilizing our hardware. Budget & ROI Tracking: Own the annual trade marketing and events budget. Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI for all event expenditures and marketing campaigns. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Product Development, and Compliance teams to align marketing initiatives with hardware launch timelines and regional regulations. Qualifications: Experience, Education Experience: 4–6 years of experience in trade marketing, commercial marketing, or event production, preferably within the cannabis industry, consumer electronics, or vapor hardware sectors. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the cannabis B2B landscape, including constraints, regulations, and state-by-state compliance laws regarding vape hardware and marketing. Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of managing multiple vendors, complex logistics, and large-scale event budgets simultaneously. Relationship Building: Natural networker with the ability to build strong partnerships with multi-state operators (MSOs), brand extraction partners, and retail distributors. Travel: Willingness to travel up to 35-50% for trade shows, field activations, and partner visits. Authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship.
