This is a full-time, Monday- Friday, 8:00-4:30 position at our Coral Springs and Plantation offices. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Patient care is our top concern, and because we can provide both diagnosis and rehabilitative services, our patients know they can depend on our team for all their needs. Description:This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Medical Patient Representative with Surgical Coordinating experience. We are looking for a motivated, multitasked professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, with experience in EMR and PM systems, insurance verification, and check in/check procedures. Candidate should also be and willing to learn all aspects of the ENT and Allergy field.Responsibilities:Providing superior customer service to all patients and guestsAnswer multi-line phonesGreet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary dataProvide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.Insurance VerificationSchedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availabilityMaintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EHRCall patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help them schedule testing for off-site servicesProvide patients with support and guidance as neededAs the Surgical Coordinator Assistant: Answering patient calls and surgery inquiriesPatient Counseling under the direction of the office manager and surgeonVerification of surgical benefits and obtaining authorizationsScheduling surgical procedures at our credentialed centers and hospitalsReconciliation of deposits and copays for surgeryEnsure medical clearance, pre-op and post op instructions are relayed to patient in a timely mannerObtaining proper consents for appropriate surgical proceduresProvide updates to surgeon in a timely mannerRequirements:Minimum one-year medical office experience Cosmetic and medical surgical procedure scheduling experienceClinical experience is a plusAbility to prioritizeWorking knowledge of medical terminology.Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.Strong organizational skills.The ability to interact professionally at all times with patients, physicians, and team members.Strong computer literacy.Bilingual Spanish is a plus.Benefits:Medical, Dental and Vision: Effective 1st of the month after 60 days of full-time employment.Company paid STD, LTD, Life: Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of full-time employment.401(K): Effective 1st of the month after 1 year of employment.6 Paid Holidays: Effective immediately.PTO: Time earned per pay periodPhysical Demands: Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds.
