Job Description The Relationship Banker I is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience both at the cash line and over the phone, helping to improve the financial wellness of customers. The role involves creating meaningful personal connections, processing transactions, identifying customer needs, resolving inquiries, and contributing to branch goals. Primary Responsibilities Provide an optimal customer experience on the cash line, handling deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other teller transactions. Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services, fulfilling basic service requests such as new or replacement cards, PIN resets, check reorders, and simple problem resolution. Develop relationships with customers and stay informed about their relationships with the bank. Educate customers on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings. Assist branch and team members with basic tasks to aid in customer problem resolution. Refer customers to internal experts when more complex financial goals and needs are identified. Follow all bank processes and procedures, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and manage or report operational risks. Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing appropriate guidance and perspective about Regions’ solutions. Conduct outbound phone calls using generated lead lists to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with their financial needs. Position requires tracking hours for work over 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The role is incentive eligible. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work Saturdays as needed. Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions. Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and electronically. Ability to use a computer frequently, including typing and sustained monitor attention. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds. Preferences One (1) year of banking, cash-handling, and/or customer service experience. Skills and Competencies Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assistance with digital banking offerings. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. Oversight of large sums of cash. Strong customer focus and relationship‑building skills. Position Type Full time Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific and vary by experience, skills, and performance. The target range for this position is: Minimum: $37,621.05 USD Median: $44,536.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
