We are looking for an experienced and strategic Purchasing Director to lead the teams and partnerships that keep CBH homes moving from bids and budgets through construction and field-ready execution.Are you an experienced leader who understands purchasing, construction operations, trade partners, vendors, and suppliers?Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where cost, schedule, performance, and relationships all matter?Are you a strategic thinker who enjoys building strong teams, negotiating great partnerships, and finding better ways to get things done?If you want to join an amazing team that works together to build dreams daily, here's your chance.In this role, you'll:Lead CBH's Purchasing team and provide leadership across Construction Services, Scheduling, Trade Partners, Vendors, and SuppliersOversee sourcing agreements, bidding, contracts, budgets, pricing, and purchasing strategyBuild and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliersDevelop strategies that support cost control, labor continuity, construction schedules, and cycle-time commitmentsMonitor vendor and trade partner performance and hold partners accountable to expectationsWork closely with construction and scheduling teams to ensure homes remain on track and field teams have the resources they needLead the resolution of field issues involving vendors, suppliers, trade partners, pricing, materials, and schedulingIdentify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, strengthen partnerships, optimize the supply chain, and reduce costsDevelop and manage strategies that support CBH's continued growth and construction goalsLead, coach, and develop a high-performing Purchasing teamImportant skills for this role:Strong leadership and team development skillsExtensive knowledge of residential construction, purchasing, subcontractors, vendors, and trade partnersProven experience with bidding, contracts, negotiations, budgets, pricing, and cost controlStrong understanding of construction scheduling, labor continuity, cycle times, and field operationsExcellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on finding practical solutionsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvementAbility to build accountability and strong performance across internal teams and external partnersThis is a full-time leadership position based out of CBH Homes' headquarters in Meridian, Idaho, available now.About CBH Homeshas been building dreams for Idahoans for 33 years!
