Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Quality Assurance Lead opportunity in Aiken, SC. Description: The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Quality Assurance (QA) programs to ensure compliance with NQA-1 requirements and applicable regulatory, client, and company standards. This role provides quality leadership across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities, ensuring quality processes are established, maintained, and effectively implemented throughout the project lifecycle. The Quality Lead also manages internal audit programs, monitors procedural compliance, and works closely with project stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. Duties: Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Quality Assurance Program in accordance with NQA-1 requirements. Establish and administer quality policies, procedures, and program documentation to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance. Provide quality oversight for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities on nuclear projects. Review engineering design processes to ensure compliance with approved quality requirements, codes, standards, and project specifications. Oversee procurement quality programs, including vendor qualification, procurement document reviews, and performance monitoring. Ensure quality requirements are incorporated throughout the procurement process, including inspections, documentation, and receipt verification. Perform internal audits of engineering, procurement, construction, and quality management processes to verify compliance with NQA-1 and project procedures. Plan, coordinate, and document audit activities, including corrective action tracking and verification of issue resolution. Monitor implementation of quality procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement. Collaborate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and client representatives to resolve quality issues and ensure successful project execution. Review and approve quality-related documentation, including procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, and quality records. Support readiness reviews, assessments, and external audits by customers and regulatory organizations. Promote a strong quality culture through mentoring, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality, or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated experience implementing and managing NQA-1 Quality Assurance Programs. Experience supporting nuclear, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. Strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry codes and standards. Experience developing quality procedures, compliance programs, and project documentation. Proven experience conducting and leading internal quality audits and managing corrective action programs. Knowledge of supplier quality, procurement quality requirements, and engineering design controls. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary project teams. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
