Quality Assurance Coordinator

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to support compliance, documentation quality, and operational excellence for a non-profit organization in Gardena, California. This contract position offers a path to a permanent role and will play a key role in strengthening program standards, guiding staff on quality practices, and helping maintain alignment with county and state requirements. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in quality assurance within behavioral health or human services and is comfortable balancing audits, training, and team oversight in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Develop, refine, and help implement program policies and procedures that support adherence to county and state regulatory expectations.• Review clinical and service records on a recurring basis to verify that notes, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge documentation meet required standards.• Monitor the accuracy and day-to-day effectiveness of the electronic billing and documentation system to promote compliant recordkeeping practices.• Provide direction and support to administrative team members, including oversight of the Information Systems Clerk and other support staff.• Deliver training and coaching to employees on quality assurance processes, documentation standards, and continuous improvement practices.• Participate in external quality improvement meetings as a representative of the organization and communicate relevant updates back to internal teams.• Track compliance trends, identify areas needing corrective action, and collaborate with leadership to improve documentation and workflow outcomes.• Carry out responsibilities in alignment with contract requirements, departmental procedures, and organizational policies.
